License Terms - for DocuCom PDF workstation products

• Workstation Products: Except DocuCom PDF Server and some component related products, all Zeon DocuCom PDF products are licensed by workstation use only.
  
• For Interactive Use Only: User interaction is required to operate the DocuCom PDF workstation products. It is prohibited and illegal to program the workstation products as an automatic tool for batch conversion. You need to choose Server products, such as PDF Server, for the requirements with any un-attended operations).
  
• Per User License: The machine for each user or per seat in an organization/institute will be required to get license for DocuCom workstation products. "Seat" means a license to, (1) install or run software on a single computer, or (2) use a single computer to access software. Each computer on which software is installed or run or from which software is accessed is a separate Seat.
  
• Not for Con-Current User License: For this particular request from corporations, schools, libraries and government offices etc with con-current based users requirements, special arrangement and discount will be applied. Please contact sales@apposite.com.hk for details. (Basically 3 times of the price for normal volume quantity of the numbers of con-current users)
  (A con-current license enables you to make DocuCom products available to anyone with access to your network. The access is not limited to specific Named Users but rather by the number of con-current users.)
  
• Server Use Is Prohibited: It is prohibited to use DocuCom workstation product(s) on Windows server machine -- please use PDF Server for such purpose; with only one exception of Terminal Server environment described in followings:
  
• Terminal Server Is Allowed: Customers may use DocuCom workstation product in server machine merely when the product is running under Terminal Server environment (such as; Citrix Metaframe) to be shared by connected clients for interactive usage. Each client requires a separate user license by per seat basis.
  
  For instance, if you need DocuCom workstation products used on an area network configuration with 50 standalone PCs plus two Terminal Servers connecting with 25 shared users each, The total number of user licenses required (permitted number of users) will be calculated as: 50 + (25*2) + 2 (Terminal Server)= 102 licenses.
  
  Important: Even if being the only user of the "Terminal Server" server machine, although this situation is rather uncommon; you still need to purchase a "2 users license" (in one purchase order) which is the minimum licenses to enable and activate DocuCom workstation products on "Terminal Server" type machine.
